Lucie Macleod began Hair Syrup as a university student, creating DIY hair oils to repair her own damaged hair. That experiment has since grown into a multi-million-pound beauty brand, stocked by Boots, Beauty Bay, Urban Outfitters and JustMyLook and on track to reach £6.5m in annual revenue by 2026. Hair Syrup ranked 13th on The Sunday Times 100 Fastest Growing Companies (2025), and Lucie was named Young Founder of the Year 2025!
She also pitched on BBC’s Dragon’s Den and walked away without investment. Today, Hair Syrup is one of the fastest-growing beauty brands in the UK.
At this event, Lucie shares the story behind the numbers – the decisions, the doubts, the discipline and the drive! Not the highlight reel. The real thing. The kind of insight you don’t get from headlines or social media clips.
